"Shimano has just released its latest series of four flagship Antares AX Multi Match and I'd taken an instant shine to the lightest 390/420 (13ft/14ft) model. This slim, beautifully presented waggler rod looks superb, oozes class and is clothed with the best Fuji fixtures and fittings that money can buy."
"This rod is unusual in that comes with a 36cm (14ins) dolly section that plugs into the butt to extend the length. There's virtually no change in the feel or action of the blank with the dolly section in place. Quite a few extensions I've used completely destroy a good action when added and I think they're only included to provide the buyer with perceived extra value."
"I think I've fished with most of the luxery light waggler rods on the market and the AX Multi-Match is right up there with the best. It takes a while to get the 'feel' of some rods and some feel absolutely right from the moment you pick them up. This rod feels right."
