|
Aero Wrap II is a worm gear oscillation system with a specially designed pitch to create optimal oscillation speeds for the Propulsion Spool Lip design. It provides uniform line lay and winding shape to prevent loss of energy during the cast while providing longer casts than other oscillation systems. Casting distance is increased with less effort.

|
The Shimano A-RB is a new generation of bearings, resistant to both oxidisation and corrosion. An integrated highly corrosion resistant surface protects the metal from contact with corrosive agents. This enables much harder steels to be used ensuring increased strength and improved durability. A-RB bearings are 10 times more durable than standard bearings making our reels perform stronger for longer.

| Baitrunner System |

By flipping a switch, the sideplate swivels downward, giving the angler quick access to adjust VBS weights. The switch is located in a position that is easy to use, yet remains out of the way to prevent accidental opening. The sideplate is smooth for comfort when palming the reel.

The key friction area on most fixed spool reels is where the spool drive shaft meets the opinion. Shimano designers have overcome this by reducing a large percentage of surface area contact and incorporating bearings on either side of the shaft. The resultant design leaves the shaft in a ‘floating’ position, considerably improving efficiency and longevity.

| Lever Drag |
|
Lever drag reels are generally used in situations where precise drag control and adjustment are a priority. When fishing live bait or trolling, a lever drag allows you to go from free spool to a pre-determined amount of drag very quickly. Lever drags have a larger drag surface than star drags as the drag washer is about the same diameter as the spool.
