The new aluminum Dura-Ace wheelset WH-7801 is an improved version of the previous WH-7800 model. They will be available in both a clincher (1618 grams per set) and a tubular version (1607 grams per set).
These wheels feature a 24mm aerodynamic aluminum rim profile and the rear wheel has been developed with a wide flange hub design and an asymmetrical rim for additional rigidity.
The front wheel has 16 bladed stainless steel spokes and the rear wheel 20 spokes. They are compatible with Shimano 10-speed cassette sprockets only.
Availability in the market: September 2005 (clincher version) and November 2005 (tubular version).
